The KBW 2026 will feature an exclusive Coffee Making Session and is being organised by Coffee Board along with HotelTech Kerala and F&B Professionals from all over the State are being invited to take part in this pro-active Session. This Session will feature leading Baristas from Coffee Board giving delegates an unmissable opportunity to keep up-to-date with the latest industry innovations, best coffee making and new technology solutions.

The session would focus on the below mentioned topics:

• 1. Coffee botany, a bit of history about coffee and understanding different kinds of species – Arabica, Robusta and other varieties.
• 2. How to compare and evaluate different kinds of coffees in beans and taste.
• 3. Tasting of a good and a bad espresso, tasting different blends of coffee and gauging the difference between them.
• 4. Preparation of espresso with professional parameters- dosing, grinding and tamping, correct procedure of using a coffee machine & coffee grinder.
• 5. Ideal technique of milk frothing, how to create the silky, shiny foam that tastes wonderful.
• 6. Classic Italian preparations- Cappuccino, Latte macchiato, Latte etc
• 7. Cleaning your machine and keeping your work area clean throughout the day to ensure consistent taste and quality in your drinks.
